At Aslan Health, our mission is more than just providing affordable, quality healthcare to those in need. Like George Müller, who founded the famous orphan houses in Bristol, England, our primary aim is to magnify God by demonstrating His faithfulness in providing for every need through prayer and trust in Him.
Müller once wrote:
“This is the primary reason for establishing the orphan house. I certainly desire to be used by God to help the poor children and train them in the ways of God. But the primary object of the work is that God would be magnified because the orphans under my care will be provided with all they need through prayer and faith. Everyone will see that God is faithful and hears prayer.”
We share this same conviction at Aslan Health. While many nonprofits rely on large fundraising events to generate income, we believe the Lord has called us to take a different path—one that points entirely to Him as our Provider.
Our Reasoning
- God’s Glory, Not Ours
We don’t want the spotlight to be on creative events, silent auctions, or gala dinners. We want the glory to go directly to the Lord when He provides what we need. As Scripture says:
“My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
- Prayer is Our First Resort
Instead of organizing events to raise funds, we commit ourselves to prayer. We ask the Lord for what we need and trust Him to move the hearts of His people.
“And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” (Matthew 21:22)
- A Living Testimony of God’s Faithfulness
Just as Müller’s orphanages became a visible testimony to God’s provision, we want Aslan Health to stand as a modern-day witness. When bills are paid, equipment is provided, and staff needs are met, it won’t be because of a clever fundraiser—it will be because the Lord stirred His people to give.
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.” (Psalm 81:10)
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…” (Ephesians 3:20)
- Building Faith in the Community
Our hope is that those who see God provide for Aslan Health will be encouraged to trust Him more fully in their own lives. If He provides for a clinic serving the underserved, He will also provide for the daily needs of His children.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)
Our Invitation
This does not mean we do not invite others to partner with us—we absolutely do. We simply do not pressure or rely on worldly methods. Instead, we share the stories of God’s work at Aslan Health and give people the opportunity to join in what He is doing. The difference is that we point back to Him as the One who provides.
At the end of the day, Aslan Health exists as a testimony to God’s faithfulness. Just as He never failed George Müller, we believe He will never fail us.
