Finding Strength in God’s Presence at Aslan Health
“Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished.”
— 1 Chronicles 28:20 (NIV)
When David spoke these words to his son Solomon, he was passing on more than instructions—he was passing on courage, responsibility, and faith. Solomon was about to take on the monumental task of building the temple, a calling far greater than his own strength could manage. But David reminded him of the most important truth: God’s presence would go with him until the work was complete.
At Aslan Health, we see a powerful connection between this scripture and the work God has called us to do in Central Minnesota. Caring for the underserved, the uninsured, and those who face barriers to health can feel overwhelming at times. The need is great, and the resources are often limited. But like Solomon, we are encouraged to “be strong and courageous, and do the work,” knowing that the Lord Himself is with us.
Courage in the Work of Healthcare
Every day, our team steps into the exam room with courage—not because the task is easy, but because it is meaningful. Affordable, whole-person care is more than a medical service; it is an act of worship. Just as Solomon’s temple would be a place where God’s people encountered His presence, our clinic seeks to be a place where patients encounter compassion, dignity, and healing—body, mind, and spirit.
Strength for the Whole Person
Through our Model of Healthy Living, we see health as more than physical care. We believe strength comes from nurturing faith, family, emotional health, movement, nutrition, work, and medical care. Like the stones of Solomon’s temple, each area is essential for building a foundation that lasts.
- Faith Life gives courage in hardship.
- Friends & Family bring encouragement and resilience.
- Nutrition and Movement provide strength for the body.
- Work and Service add meaning and purpose.
- Emotional Health equips us to face trials with hope.
- Medical Care addresses illness while promoting long-term wellness.
Together, these create a life that honors God and reflects His design for wholeness.
God’s Promise for the Journey
When challenges arise—whether financial constraints, health crises, or the daily weight of serving a busy clinic—we take heart in God’s promise: “He will not fail you or forsake you.” At Aslan Health, we believe this work is not ours alone; it is God’s work through us. And He equips us to finish it.
Just as Solomon’s temple was a place where God’s people encountered His presence, our prayer is that Aslan Health would be more than a clinic—it would be a place where people encounter God’s presence, mercy, and grace. Every exam room, every conversation, every act of care becomes sacred space when Christ’s love is at the center.
At Aslan, we want our patients to experience not only compassion, dignity, and healing for body, mind, and spirit, but also the hope and peace that come from knowing they are deeply loved by God.
A Prayer for Our Community
Lord, help us to be strong and courageous as we serve. Remind us that this is Your work, and You are with us. May Aslan Health continue to be a place of healing and hope, where Your presence is felt in every act of care. Amen.
