What Does Women’s Healthcare Cost Without Insurance?
All appointments are $75. That is the appointment price; it does not mean every test or treatment is included.
Labs, medications, injections, imaging, and services provided outside the clinic may have additional costs. We explain anticipated costs whenever possible so you can make an informed decision before moving forward.
If paying for care is difficult, ask about our sliding-fee discounts, payment plans, and possible charitable care. Eligibility and available assistance vary. Itemized receipts are also available for eligible HSA or FSA expenses.
Our patient advocate can help explore options for labs, imaging, and medications when additional care is needed.
Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings Through SAGE
A lack of insurance does not always mean you must pay out of pocket for cancer screening.
Aslan Health participates in Minnesota’s SAGE program, which provides free breast and cervical cancer screening services for people who meet program requirements. Eligibility depends on factors such as age, income, and insurance coverage.
Our team can help determine whether you qualify and coordinate the next steps. Mammograms are performed at an imaging facility, rather than inside Aslan Health. We can help arrange the referral and discuss transportation or other access barriers.
Ask about SAGE Plus as well, which offers heart health services for eligible patients. Program coverage applies to eligible services; it does not make every clinic visit or test free.
If you have been putting off screening because of cost, ask us what options may be available.
Care With or Without Insurance
You can receive care at Aslan Health without an insurance policy or a referral from an insurance company.
Aslan primarily operates as a self-pay clinic. We do not bill commercial insurance, PMAP plans, or Medicare Advantage plans. If you have Straight Medical Assistance or Original Medicare, call before scheduling to confirm billing arrangements for your visit.
Having insurance does not prevent you from asking about self-pay care. However, reimbursement and whether a payment counts toward your deductible depend on your plan.
Appointment Availability and Privacy
We welcome new patients. Same-day care may be available depending on the schedule and the type of care you need. Calling ahead helps us confirm availability and whether an appointment should be reserved for an exam or screening.
Women’s health concerns can be personal. Our team approaches sensitive questions, exams, and STI care with respect and discretion. You can ask what an exam involves, discuss your concerns, and request an explanation before proceeding.
Aslan Health is a Christian nonprofit clinic, and patients of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome.
When a Specialist or Another Facility May Be Needed
Aslan provides primary care and women’s health services, with referrals when your needs require additional expertise or equipment.
Your provider may recommend a gynecologist, obstetric provider, imaging facility, or another specialist for an abnormal screening result, a breast concern, ongoing pelvic symptoms, or a procedure beyond the clinic’s services.
Aslan offers early prenatal care but does not provide deliveries. We can help you plan the transition to an obstetric provider for ongoing pregnancy care.
Specialist visits, imaging, and outside procedures have their own costs. We can help you understand the next steps and explore available assistance.
