Our providers take time to consider the whole person rather than focusing on only one symptom.

How Much Does a Women’s Health Appointment Cost?

All appointments at Aslan Health are $75.

Your provider will explain any recommended testing and potential additional costs before moving forward. Laboratory tests, medications, vaccines, imaging, or services completed outside Aslan Health may have separate charges.

Payment options and assistance include:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • HSA and FSA cards
  • Itemized receipts for possible HSA, FSA, insurance, or tax documentation
  • Payment plans when appropriate
  • Sliding-fee discounts based on household income and family size
  • Charitable-care assistance in qualifying circumstances

Aslan Health does not bill private insurance, MinnesotaCare, Medicaid managed-care plans, or Medicare Advantage plans. We may bill Straight Medical Assistance and Straight Medicare for covered services. Because government healthcare programs have specific billing rules, patients enrolled in Medicaid or Medicare should call 320-297-6800 before scheduling.

Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening May Be Available

Aslan Health participates in Minnesota’s SAGE screening program. Qualifying patients may be eligible for free breast and cervical cancer screening, including:

  • Pap and HPV testing
  • Clinical breast examinations
  • Mammograms through an imaging partner
  • Additional diagnostic testing when medically necessary

SAGE eligibility is based on factors such as age, income, insurance status, and the screening needed. Our staff can help determine whether you qualify and coordinate the next steps.

Eligible patients may also qualify for SAGE Plus heart-health screening and prevention services.

Do not assume that you earn too much or will not qualify. Call us, and we can help you understand your options.

Is Women’s Healthcare at Aslan Private?

Yes. Women’s health visits are handled respectfully and discreetly. Medical information, test results, and conversations with your healthcare provider are protected under applicable privacy laws.

STI testing and treatment are provided without judgment, whether or not you have symptoms. Many sexually transmitted infections cause no noticeable symptoms, so testing can be an important part of routine healthcare.

There are limited situations in which healthcare providers are legally required to disclose information, including certain immediate safety concerns or suspected abuse. Privacy rules for minors can also vary depending on the service and circumstances. Our staff can explain what confidentiality protections apply before care is provided.

Can I Get a Same-Day Appointment?

Aslan Health offers scheduled appointments and welcomes walk-ins during clinic hours. Same-day availability depends on the number and medical needs of patients already being seen.

Calling ahead is recommended, especially if you need a Pap test, pregnancy-related care, a procedure, or multiple concerns addressed during one visit.

When Is a Specialist or Outside Referral Needed?

Aslan Health provides primary and preventive women’s healthcare, but some conditions require imaging, a procedure, or care from a specialist. A referral may be recommended for:

  • A breast lump or abnormal breast examination
  • An abnormal Pap or HPV result requiring colposcopy or biopsy
  • Severe, persistent, or unexplained pelvic pain
  • Heavy bleeding that does not improve with primary care treatment
  • Suspected endometriosis, fibroids, or another complex gynecologic condition
  • Infertility evaluation
  • High-risk pregnancy
  • Prenatal care beyond the services available at Aslan
  • Surgery or a hospital-based procedure
  • A condition requiring an obstetrician, gynecologist, oncologist, or other specialist

Aslan Health does not perform mammograms, advanced imaging, surgery, or deliveries at the clinic. When outside care is necessary, our team can help identify appropriate next steps and look for reasonably priced services or assistance programs whenever possible.

When Should You Seek Emergency Care?

Call 911 or go to an emergency department for symptoms such as:

  • Severe abdominal or pelvic pain
  • Heavy bleeding accompanied by weakness, fainting, or dizziness
  • Possible ectopic pregnancy, especially with one-sided pain, bleeding, shoulder pain, dizziness, or fainting
  • Chest pain, severe shortness of breath, or signs of a stroke
  • Sexual assault requiring immediate medical attention or evidence collection
  • Any condition that appears life-threatening

Aslan Health is a primary care clinic and is not equipped to treat medical emergencies.
