Affordable STD/STI Healthcare in St. Cloud Without Insurance
Concerns about a sexually transmitted infection can be stressful—especially if you do not have health insurance. You may be worried about the cost, your privacy, what testing involves, or whether you will be judged.
At Aslan Health in St. Cloud, we want you to be able to ask questions and receive respectful, confidential medical care. You do not need health insurance to make an appointment. All appointments are $75.
When should you consider an STD/STI visit?
Many sexually transmitted infections (STIs), also commonly called sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), do not cause obvious symptoms. Testing may still be appropriate if you:
- Have had unprotected sexual contact
- Have a new sexual partner or more than one partner
- Learned that a current or former partner has an STI
- Have burning or pain with urination
- Notice unusual discharge, odor, sores, bumps, itching, pelvic pain, or testicular pain
- Are pregnant or may be pregnant and have concerns about an STI
- Simply want reassurance about your sexual health
Having symptoms does not automatically mean you have an STI. Urinary tract infections, yeast infections, skin conditions, and other health problems can cause similar symptoms. A medical evaluation can help determine which testing and treatment are appropriate.
What happens during an STI appointment?
Your provider will begin by listening to your concerns and asking questions about your symptoms, health history, and possible exposure. These questions help the provider recommend the right care; they are not asked to judge or embarrass you.
Depending on your situation, the visit may include:
- A physical examination, when medically appropriate
- Urine, blood, or swab testing
- Pregnancy testing
- Testing for infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, or others when indicated
- Treatment for many common infections
- Counseling about reducing the risk of reinfection and protecting partners
- Referral to a specialist or another facility if you need services Aslan does not provide
Not every person needs every test. Your provider will discuss which tests make sense based on your symptoms, exposure, and medical history.
How much does STD/STI care cost without insurance?
All appointments at Aslan Health are $75. Lab testing is an additional cost. Our current prices for commonly ordered STD/STI tests are:
| Test | Price |
| Chlamydia and gonorrhea | $30 |
| HIV screening | $20 |
| Confirmatory testing after a positive screening result | $75 |
| Syphilis | $25 |
| Herpes culture | $35 |
| Ureaplasma | $80 |
| Hepatitis B | $10 |
Your provider will recommend testing based on your symptoms, possible exposure, and medical history. Not every patient needs every test. Medications, injections, or services performed outside the clinic may also have an additional cost. We will explain anticipated costs whenever possible so you can make an informed decision before moving forward.
We can also provide an itemized receipt if you want to use eligible HSA or FSA funds.
Is STI care confidential?
Yes. STI concerns are handled as private medical information. Our team aims to provide a calm, respectful environment where you can speak honestly with your provider.
There are limited situations in which healthcare professionals are required by law to report certain infections or safety concerns to public-health or protective authorities. Reporting requirements do not mean your information becomes public. If a reporting requirement applies, the provider can explain what it means for you.
If you use a shared phone, email address, patient portal, or health plan, consider who may be able to see messages, notifications, or billing information. Tell our staff if you have a specific privacy concern so we can discuss available communication options.
What if a test is positive?
A positive result is a medical issue—not a moral judgment. Many STIs can be cured, and others can be managed with appropriate treatment and follow-up care.
Your provider will explain the result, recommend treatment, and discuss whether a partner may need testing or treatment. It is important to take medication exactly as directed, complete any recommended follow-up testing, and avoid sexual contact for the period your provider recommends. Treating partners when appropriate can help prevent passing the infection back and forth.
When might a referral be needed?
Aslan provides primary medical care, but some conditions require a specialist, hospital, or public-health service. We may recommend referral for severe symptoms, complicated infections, specialized procedures, certain pregnancy-related concerns, or services that are not available in our clinic.
Seek urgent or emergency care for severe pelvic or abdominal pain, heavy bleeding, fainting, trouble breathing, confusion, signs of a severe allergic reaction, or symptoms that feel life-threatening. If you may be pregnant and have significant pain or bleeding, prompt evaluation is especially important.
